Radiating Our Planet

Japanese Artist Isao Hashimoto, produced an uncanny time-lapse map of all known 2053 nuclear explosions which have taken place between 1945 and 1998. The first one is the Manhattan Project’s test (Trinity) near Los Alamos, New Mexico. The last one is Pakistan’s test which took place in May of 1998.

Each country receives a blip and a dot that flashes on the map whenever a nuclear detonation has taken place.
It’s not until 1962 that things really start to ‘heat up’.

I wonder how it would have looked if he had included ALL nuclear explosions between 1953 and 2013, even the concealed/secret ones…
