Harvest Rainwater And Solar Power At The Same Time!

Mexican company NOS, led by Product Designer Agustín Otegui Saiz, has invented PhotoFlow. It is a device which harvests rainwater and solar power – at the same!

It consists of eight identical triangular photovoltaic panels that are stacked upon a 400-liter recycled polyethylene water tank. An octagon with a 3 degree slope are made up of the panels, the slope permits water to run through a central filter and then into the tank. Through a coating the tank’s inner layer controls the levels of germs. An antireflective adhesive covers the solar panels that can generate 340 kWh of electricity.

Right now, NOS seeks funding in order to mass-produce and distribute it developing countries.
