The Bicentennial Cable Car (Santiago de Chile)

Santiago de Chile is about to get its own cable car system just like the one they’ve got in Portland, e.g.

It’s going to connect Ciudad Empresarial located in the municipality of Huechuraba in the north of Greater Santiago, with the capital’s most important CBD in the municipality of Providencia.

When is it going to be completed? In 2016.

Number of stations: Four
Interchange station: Plaza Nueva Zelanda (Tobalaba Underground station)
Maximum seating capacity per cabin: Ten passengers
Maximum number of transported passengers per hour: Seven thousand
Travel time: Eleven minutes
Frequency: Every twelve seconds
