More Bikes Than Cars Are Being Sold In Europe

NPR decided to take a look at car and bike sales in Europe. They looked at the figures from 27 member states of the European Union. They could find data from all member states save Cyprus and Malta.

What did they find out?

Bike sales outran car sales in all those countries, except Belgium and Luxembourg.

They came to the conclusion that this result could be explained by slump in car sales. As we all should know, Europe is going through its toughest period since the past Depression. The old continent is now experiencing its second Depression in modern times. Europe is definitely in dire straits. Big time.
